Sweet and Spicy Garlic Steak Pasta

A delicious and comforting dish combining the rich flavors of garlic and steak with a sweet and spicy twist.

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Season the flank steak with salt and pepper, and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until medium-rare. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  4. Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  5. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  6. Add the sauce to the skillet, allowing it to simmer for a couple of minutes.
  7. Slice the flank steak and return it to the skillet, tossing with the sauce.
  8. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, mixing everything together to coat the noodles.
  9. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For added spice, you can increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • Use whole wheat spaghetti for a healthier option.
