Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

This easy recipe for stuffed cabbage rolls combines turkey bacon and beef for a delicious and hearty meal.

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and carefully add the cabbage head. Boil for 2-3 minutes until leaves are pliable. Remove and let cool.
  3. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the beef, cooked rice, bacon mixture, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Spoon the mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly. Place seam-side down in a baking dish.
  6. Cover with remaining tomato sauce and bake for 45 minutes.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the filling.
  • Make sure to remove the core from the cabbage to easily separate the leaves.
