Spiced Mango Chutney

A flavorful spiced mango chutney that elevates your meals.

  • 2 ripe mangoes, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine diced mangoes, onion, sugar, and vinegar.
  2. Add minced ginger, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, chopped chilies, turmeric powder, and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool before transferring to jars.

Notes

  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or fewer chilies.
  • Great with grilled meats or as a condiment for sandwiches.
