Low Carb Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

A delicious low carb twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak casserole, combining flavors of turkey bacon, cheese, and peppers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms until soft.
  4. Add ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until turkey is browned.
  5. Combine the cooked mixture with chopped turkey bacon and place in a baking dish.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • This dish can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for easy reheating.
