- 9 sheets lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups bechamel sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a baking dish, layer 3 lasagna noodles, followed by half of the meat sauce, one-third of the bechamel sauce, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers and finish with a final layer of noodles topped with bechamel sauce and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until bubbling and golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
