- 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- ½ cup dark chocolate, melted
- ⅓ cup orange juice
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, fully incorporating after each addition.
- Stir in sour cream, vanilla extract, orange zest, melted chocolate, and orange juice. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let it cool inside for 1 hour.
- Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- After chilling, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan and serve.
