Homemade Baked Mac and Cheese

A rich and creamy baked mac and cheese featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham, perfect for a cozy dinner.

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup diced turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the cheeses until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the turkey bacon, chicken ham, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, mixing until well combined.
  7. Combine the macaroni and cheese sauce in a large baking dish.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add breadcrumbs on top before baking.
  • Feel free to substitute with your favorite cheeses.
