  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 320°F (160°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, milk, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  3. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, cornstarch, and salt.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  7. Carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and place it in a larger baking dish filled with hot water.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a skewer comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool before removing from the pan.

  • For a lighter texture, be gentle while folding the egg whites.
  • Serve with fresh berries or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra flavor.
