- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 12 ounces uncooked lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic, cooking until the meat is browned and the onions are tender.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, and broken lasagna noodles. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese along with the oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- When the noodles are cooked, stir in the cheese mixture until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with remaining Parmesan cheese.
