  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool completely in the pan.
  7. While the cake cools, whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  8. Spread the whipped cream evenly over the cooled cake, then roll it up tightly.
  9. Chill the rolled cake for at least 1 hour before slicing.
