Crock Pot Baked Ziti

A comforting and easy recipe for baked ziti made in a crock pot.

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 12 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer half of the cooked ziti, half of the marinara sauce, half of the ricotta mixture, and half of the mozzarella in the crock pot.
  4. Repeat layering with the remaining ingredients.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until heated through and cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
  • This dish can be frozen for up to 2 months.
