Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
