Better-Than-Takeout Beef With Broccoli

A delicious homemade version of the classic takeout dish

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in soy sauce and cornstarch for 20 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated beef, cook until browned.
  5. Add broccoli and beef broth, simmer until broccoli is tender.
  6. Stir in oyster sauce and sesame oil, mix well.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes.
  • Can substitute chicken or tofu for a different protein.
